Focal Therapy Planning
AI-assisted NanoKnife IRE treatment planning with 3D tumor mapping and fusion biopsy integration.
Key Features
3D Tumor Mapping
AI-generated 3D whole prostate anatomy with physician-annotated lesion targets for precise focal therapy targeting.
NanoKnife IRE Planning
Automated probe placement optimization with treatment zone visualization and coverage fraction calculation.
Navigo Integration
Direct Rois.xml export to UC-Care Navigo fusion biopsy systems. Production-ready for the 100-200 Navigo sites worldwide.
Treatment Monitoring
Track tumor volume changes over time for active surveillance and treatment response assessment.
What is Focal Therapy?
Focal therapy treats only the cancerous region of the prostate rather than the entire gland, preserving urinary and sexual function. Precise tumor localization is critical for targeting the treatment accurately.
The Distribution Channel
Fusion biopsy systems like UC-Care Navigo require MRI segmentations to guide procedures. Currently, urologists manually contour the prostate — a tedious 10-15 minute task per case. Acurix AI segmentation automates this step, creating a natural distribution channel: every Navigo site needs prostate contours, and our AI provides them automatically.
Planning Workflow
- AI generates the prostate boundary segmentation; the physician annotates the lesion target
- Treatment planning engine optimizes probe placement around the lesion
- Coverage fraction is calculated against lesion volume plus safety margin
- Physician reviews and adjusts probe positions with real-time zone recomputation
- Final plan is saved as DICOM RTSTRUCT and exported to the fusion system
Acurix Focal Therapy Planning is under development and has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. It is not available for clinical use in the United States.
